Abstract:

In this paper, a comprehensive approach to adult education is being presented, focusing on the range of factors that can motivate adults to participate in any kind of educational program. Quantitative research was conducted with a questionnaire for adults in order to determine which factors influence their participation in lifelong learning. These factors have been found to vary, depending on gender, age and marital status. All of these elements play a decisive role in the educational process of adults and their further development.
